What are these prcvaiy paranoiacs afraid of? Are they worried they will end up on the evening news because they wore shoes and a belt that didn't match? Or because they had a bad hair day? Give me a break nobody watching will care (and typically no one is watching anyway, until there is some kind of incident.) Also, the video will eventually get deleted (data storage still costs money and is not unlimited.) Every day, hundreds of thousands of hours of surveillance video gets recorded and susequently deleted (because nothing happened.) Nobody will ever see surveillance video of you unless you are doing something interesting i.e. criminal and if so, you deserve to end up on TV on Caught on Tape.

Review by M. Hajar for Rating: I'm happy with the ssetym and the company outstanding customer support after sales service. They resolved big problem within few days. I placed the order at Amazon, no place to request the cameras input voltage to be 240v and not 120v. After receiving the ssetym, I emailed the company and they replied with the following answer: our shipment guy don't know your 240V special requirement. I will send another 4 x 240V Power adapter to you tomorrow. And yes they did send me 4 more adapters with no questions asked or anything to pay. The company is definitely professional. I'm pleased with ssetym; I tested everything, and all working as expected. I tested the LAN connection (easy). I also tested the WAN (remote access). It was a bit difficult but manageable with some networking knowledge. Its working well with DSL its slow by dialup. The picture on my LCD TV does not show the room true colors. I don't know why yet. Cameras are NOT made by Sharp or Sony but they said they are made from sharp or Sony parts. They look high quality cams. The documentation was supplied by email not in the box(But not full functions docs). This company got my trust and they deserve an outstanding review.

yea i had that same idea,, its best to try and hide your setysm if you can, however you should have multiple setysms on your home NOT just cameras, (ie bars, break glass alarms, window and door alarms, motion censers.) any setysm can be beat you have to build layers to try and defeat a thief

Working as an LP Consultant uiistling data mining technologies I'm going to have to say that IT is a friend. I completely agree, however, that IT is also a friend to the people we all strive to catch. That's why we need to use it effectively and make sure that we're one step ahead. Fraud strategies are fluid and so they're constantly changing we need the capability to adapt with them. I am sometimes utterly amazed at the laborious processes some companies still practice for their LP; sifting through receipt rolls, using 5 different data repositories to collate their cases etc. I have no doubt that human experience is essential in fighting LP but let's focus that expertise in the right areas and let IT do the monotonous bits.
